Who Survives Whom? Will I pass away before my spouse, or will my spouse pass away before me? If the sub lord of the 7th house cusp occupies a dual (mutable) sign and it happens to be the significator of Marakasthana and Badhakasthana, the spouse passes away earlier. This same rule applies when referencing the longevity of the second spouse, only with respect to the second spouse (in the event there have been two marriages) you have to then judge the 2nd cusp sub lord rather than the 7th.
