Childhood illnesss to age 7 .   Had to attend special school where she was given artifical sunlight from age 4.

28 Dec 1944   -   Started work

16 Mar 1953  -   Marriage, left home

10 Mar 1959  +/- 3 days  - Breast removed  (Cancer.)

24 Mar 1959  +/- 3 days  - Ovarectomy 

     Dec 1960  -   Relocation to Wales

 8 Sep 1961    -   Death of mother

15 Mar 1963  -   Death of father

28 Jul   1965  -    Death of nephew (traumatic)

 4  Jul   1967  + 1or2 days -   Emigrated to Australia

10 Aug 1967  -    Arrived in Australia

19 Jul   1968  -    Operation on wrist for carpel tunnel.

16 Mar 1972  -    Fostered 5 children, all brothers and sisters, until they left

                             home to go to work or university.

     Aug  1975 -    Operation, gall bladder removed

             1980 -    Gastroscopy, and treatment for ulcers

Sep/Oct 1981 -   Operation on small bowel - 6 ft removed.   Also lungs collapsed

                            Put on artificial lung

31 Oct  1984  -   Became an Australian citizen at official ceremony.

  6 Jan   1992  -   Relocated to major city.

 

 

The aim is to find out which event occurred on 20 April 1995.   Was it:

 

1.   Husband died.

2.   Committed suicide after husband's death.

3.   Won prestigious art (painting) award in her first competition.

4.   Left for overseas holiday in the UK and Canada.
